NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION: NEW ME

Pardon me for the late posting. I know that New Year resolutions are usually made at the beginning of the year. As much as I wanted to contemplate, chart my course forward, reflect on the previous year’s journey and make a list of fresh starts or renew commitments, my new year literally started with a BANG.
My life spans with a lot of deadlines to beat and new projects that I forgot to laid on my plans for my new beginnings and aspirations for 2014.

Though, I got 18 days to go ‘til the first quarter of the year ends. I believe that it is never too late to jot down my New Year resolutions. Well, I’d like to think of New Year's resolutions more like reinstating your purpose here on Earth rather than a to-do list that you assign to yourself. And because every so often life gets in the way of keeping our new year’s resolution, I decided to give my new year’s resolution a lil’ bit of fun by answering the guide questions I recently read from Lauren Conrad’s blog. I also tried to keep it short by concentrating on finding my way to love, success and happiness and also by reexamining my goals from the inside out.

1.       A bad habit I’m going to break:

Last minute changes and indecisiveness

2.       A destination I’d like to visit:

Paris, Europe and Hongkong Disneyland with the family

3.       I’m going to work harder at:

The art of tact and diplomacy

4.       A project I’d like to finish:

Framing photos of our vacation abroad

5.       A class I’d like to take:

Other languages and advance classes in Photoshop and photography

6.       I’d like to spend more time doing:

Blogging and writing

7.       A food I want to eat more of:

Organic and more healthy food: gonna ditch the fast foods

8.       I want to wear more:

Classic and Elegant pieces

   Love
·         Love Life and its challenges
·         Love my Mom and my sisters more
·         Love Dreadful Mondays
·         Love Myself

   Success
·         Pray for more opportunities for growth
·         Work on being resilient

Happiness
·         Be Happy with other’s achievement
·         Learn to enjoy life’s simple joys
·         Yearn for that unspeakable joy
·         Laugh Hard

What I learn about going through this process is my life is a message to the world. This 2014, I will make sure my life is inspiring and better than the story I made in 2013.

XOXO, GIADRE

EPIPHANY

“Pour your heart   into this day
Seize each moment
Drink life in and live”
-GMSL-

Like those moments of epiphany, quotes are powerful nugget of wisdom condensed into 1-3 lines. It resonates like the beauty of sunrise that remind us of wonderful things the new day has to offer.

INNER VOICE

I love quotes. From philosophical, spiritual to plain inspirational, quotes add motivation and give one’s morale a boost. At times when I feel like my head is so cluttered and filled with so much fear, resentment, extraneous thoughts and worry; quotes serve as my inner voice from which I find refuge and stillness.

While some may define inner voice as the critical friend or parent, compulsive spender, addictive personality or angry perpetrator inside of our heads, quotes that act as my inner voice are like gentle breezes that speak from a point of silence deep within me. They bring profound order; leading me to see the bigger picture while gently guiding me through life’s lessons.

Today, I would like to share my favorite quotes that inspire and motivate me.  As you navigate through my post, I hope that you will  find your inner voice as I have found mine.

THANK GOD IT IS FRIDAY

Friday is one of those chaotic weeks that you just love to hate and hate to love. Though the traffic might be bad and restaurants are expected to be full, Friday is the perfect day to reflect and unwind. Today, I am going to start my year right by jump-starting one of my new year's resolutions for 2014. I wanted to be healthy, fit and strong. My rough plan is to eat clean, train dirty and focus on the things that make me happy.

Since I love collecting magazines and enjoy reading 'em, I decided to cut out the articles that would serve as my fitness inspiration. The routines are quite easy for a beginner like me. My family is actually teasing me for trying to look perfect. Well, I am not trying to look perfect. I just want to feel better, look great, know I'm healthy and be able to rock any outfit I choose.

Hoping this inspire you. Countdown to amazing year starts now!
